Sgt. Joseph Hogarth is a 15 year veteran of law enforcement serving with the Carlisle Police Department as a patrolman, patrol supervisor, trainer and swat officer. Joe spent 13 years on a multi-jurisdictional swat team in the capacity of entry, sniper, assistant team leader, team leader and training coordinator. He currently serves as his department’s training coordinator and patrol sergeant. He wrote or assisted in writing department and county policies including the County SRT policy and the department’s use of force, firearms and patrol rifle policies. [smooth=id:17; align:float_right; width:200; height:200;] In addition to his department commitments he serves as an instructor for one of the state certified police academies as a firearms, defensive tactics and patrol operations instructor and has taught for the sheriff’s academy, constable program, military, civilian and private law enforcement in the areas of firearms, defensive tactics, use of force and active shooter response. Joe is also a Christian chaplain and coordinator for the county’s Critical Incident Stress De-briefing Team.
